T'barka Allah Ya Hicham!
It's good to see El Guerrouj get the Olympic medal finally. Or two. And he's actually a really good guy.

I saw this picture in one of the local Kuwaiti newspapers and didn't know if it was real or not. But then I saw it on the Internet, and if it's on the Internet, it must be real.

Just about every few days in the newspaper there will be a picture of some guys busted with alcohol, either trying to smuggle it into Kuwait, or caught brewing up some moonshine. Here's a few recent pictures:

Now, if you were gonna get busted for alcohol, which guy would you rather be? That's right, Red Label baby! Or, you could be the dudes with the plastic garbage cans...

The latest Zogpy political poll has some interesting findings:
“Voters with active passports prefer Kerry 58% to 35%, while those without a passport are for Bush 48% to 39%."
"The two candidates are in a dead heat among self-identified members of the investor class – Kerry 45% to Bush’s 44%."
“Big city voters favor Kerry 58% to 36%."
Now, I'm a big-city voter, and I've got a passport, and I've got my little Roth IRA, so I suppose I'm part of the investor class too. Who should I vote for?
It is interesting though, that fairly wide gap among voters with passports. What about voters with two passports?
A short video clip of the road north, somewhere between Kuwait City and Iraq.
Took a drive up to the border. We went to a few different border crossings.

This is one of the trenches that Kuwait built to keep the Iraqi tanks from rolling through after the first Gulf War.

Standing on the border, with an Iraqi border guard looking on. He's wearing a NY Yankees cap.

The actual border line.

The landscape on the way up to the Iraqi border. Pretty much a whole lot of nothing.

On the way up to the border, we came upon this truck that had just overturned in the road.

In case you didn't know, The Dave Chappelle show is the funniest thing on television. Looks like Comedy Central just laid out the cash to keep him on:
